HOW INFORMATION IS COLLECTEDInformation may be collected in a couple of ways.
- Information provided by you.
When you request a sales quotation and or request services, you will be required to provide certain information in order for us to provide you with services. This information may be collected in person or online.
- Mobile Beacons.
EZ Deals continues to use beacon technology to market our customers’ products and services. Beacons do not collect any information regarding your preferences and habits in order to create a customized marketing experience. Instead, the beacon behaves in a similar way to Geofencing [easy location-based marketing (ELBM)]. The beacon places a custom campaign as a cookie in nearby devices which sits in the queue until its turn. As an example, while shopping online pop-ups follow you around. The notifications are not in real-time unless our client provides us with their own mobile app, because on December 6th, 2018, Google ended its support of the Nearby Notification program thus creating a lag. Due to the cancellation of Nearby Notification, beacons do not always work consistently. According to Near Notify, the beacons now work with the most mainstream apps such as Facebook, Twitter, Youtube, Linkedin, Snapchat, etc. The beacons are purchased from a third-party vendor whose privacy policy may also apply.
- NFC Hardware Devices.
The NFC Devices utilize proximity marketing without an app. NFC or Near Field Communication enables compatible devices to communicate over short ranges. At any given time, one device must transmit information while the other must receive it. Our NFC devices behave like a digital business card with a one-touch custom campaign we attach for our clients. NFC technology is a great alternative to QR codes. If the consumer base primarily uses smartphones, NFC stickers and keycards give our clients an added advantage because these devices have an extra layer of QR code on top combining two technologies into one product. This combination allows businesses to cater to both iPhone and Android users. NFC devices do not collect any information regarding your preferences and habits in order to create a customized marketing experience.
- Social Media.
We have different options for our clients. One option is that every digital coupon winner through the EZ Deals campaigns must share on their own private Facebook timeline. When the winner shares on Facebook, EZ Deals does not collect any information. However, with another option, our clients have a choice of having their winners sign in through different social media sites in order to claim their prize. With this option, EZ Deals will collect their private data listed on their social media page and give that information to our clients which choose this option. EZ Deals does not use any of that information.
WHAT WE COLLECTWe may collect information about you in a variety of ways. The information we may collect on the Site and Landing Pages includes:
- Personal Data
- Personally identifiable information, such as the name, address, email address and telephone number.
- Derivative Data
- Information our servers automatically collect when someone accesses the Site, such as their IP address, their browser type, their operating system, their access times, and the pages they have viewed directly before and after accessing the Site.
- Financial Data
- Financial information, such as data related to your payment method (e.g. valid credit card number, card brand, expiration date) that we may collect when you purchase, order, return, exchange, or request information about our services from the Site. Otherwise, all financial information is stored by our payment processors, Authorize.net, and you are encouraged to review their privacy policy and contact them directly for responses to your questions.
The information we may collect through the Custom Campaigns includes:
- Personal Data
- Personally identifiable information, such as your name, address, email address and telephone number, and demographic information, such as your age, gender, hometown, and interests, that the winners only voluntarily give to us when they choose to participate in various activities related to the Campaigns, such as claiming their prize. That information is then given to our clients who decide to collect this information through their Custom Campaign. EZ Deals does not use this information after it is given to the client. The winners are under no obligation to provide us with personal information of any kind, however their refusal to do so may prevent them from using their digital coupon.

If we go out of business or enter bankruptcy, the client’s (EZ Deals customer) information, but not the client’s customers’ (consumers/users) information would be an asset transferred or acquired by a third party.
